The Motivation programme for Women organised by Mai Marathi was organised at Samaj Mandir Hall, Second Floor, Near Bhatia High School, Sector 18, New Panvel on 04th of October at 2.30 pm.  The programme, received overwhelming response, despite, heavy rains.   70 women participated in the programme. 

The programme began with lighting of lamp by Dignitaries which included Local Corporators Mrs. Pushpalata Madhvi &  Mrs. Archana Brid.  Mrs. Alaka Sawant, President, Women Cell, PWP, Mrs. Surekha Patil, Former Zilla Parishad Member,Shri Dilip Shankar Khot, President, Shivgiri Seva Sangh. Mrs. Parkar, Principal, Local Bankers and representatives of Small Savings Groups also attended the programme.

Shri Prasad Thakur, President, Mai Marathi was interviewed by the Local Channels about the aims and objectives of Mai Marathi and about the programme.  In his address, Shri Prasad Thakur, also informed about goals of Mai Marathi.  Shri Vijay Joshi, Secretary informed about the avenues in self-employment, various options available.  They were informed that they could be given one month training in their opted vocations.

Shri Dattatraya Dalvi in his concluding remarks further motivated the women to opt for self-employment, giving some practical examples.

After the programme,  33 ladies applied for One Month's Training Programme.  These ladies would be imparted trainings in various vocations like food products, phenyls, detergents, leather products etc.
