One day Camp on Rappelling & Rock Climbing at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivli on 04th May 2008. Around 25 members from all age groups participated in the event.

Ms. Seema Shelar, Shri Ashok Patil & Shri Datta Walvankar from Mai Marathi Sanstha coordinated the event.

The team of trekkers led by Shri Prakash Walvekar demonstrated the rappelling and rock climbing techniques to enthusiasts. Shri Prakash Walvekar is a reknowned person in adventure sports like rock climbing, rappelling etc. He has participated in various expeditions and have participated in Himalayan Expeditions with foreign trekkers. Ms.Vaishali a team member from the trekkers initially demonstrated the techniques to the participants. Shri Prakash Walvekar in his speech gave the participants insight into the world of adventure sports and tourism.

The members were so enthused that each one of the participant participated and tried out rappelling / rock climbing. Right from Master Ruturaj Pendse (05 yrs), Nishant Joshi (06 years) to elders everybody tried their bit in rappelling and enjoyed every bit of it.
