Abhiyan Raigad is an
Initiative of
Mai Marathi Sanstha - a NGO of Marathi People. Maharashtra is
not only all about geography, but it has history too. A Society is
known and respected by its history. Fortunately, we have a very
proud and glorious history.
Hundreds of forts and
historical monuments display our rich legacy. But, what is the
condition of most of our historical places. Almost all of them
are in ruins. Official apathy and ignorance and dis-respect by
visitors visiting these places are seen the most.
Is there no way out of this? Can
we not improve the situation? The answer is Yes. Only if we
realise the importance of these monuments and history associated
with this. Only if we are successful in making the authorities
realize.

Abhiyan Raigad is not only restricted to
highlight the scenario of Raigad Fort, through this endavor, we
wish to highlight the state of historical monuments across all
the state. If one can see neglect at the most important place
like Raigad, then one cannot dare image the apathy of lesser
known places. Are we going to showcase this to our future
generations? Are we going to wipe out our great legacy?
Friends, together we will create a pressure
group, a group which would force the authorities to look into
the matter with utmost seriousness it deserves.
